Before cutting and sewing the garments, it is industry practice to compact and preshrink all fabrics used in production. This process helps minimize shrinkage; however, it’s important to note that there may still be some inherent shrinkage in the final product. This anticipated shrinkage is factored into the original specifications of the garment, ensuring that after washing, the product retains its ideal fit.
It’s worth mentioning that our garment dye, tie-dye, and performance UPF50 products are exceptions. These items are designed with specific yarn constructions and other features that result in zero shrinkage, providing you with consistent sizing and fit even after washing.
